LATICIA J. STITH
Laticia joined Girls Incorporated of the Greater Peninsula in 2006 as a Program Specialist. In her current position as Program Director, Mrs. Stith is responsible for program operations, program development, and overseeing nine national research based informal educational programs that benefit girls in high risk and underserved communities during after-school and summer programs hours.
Prior to joining Girls Inc., Laticia served as the General Operating Manager of Queen’s Bridal and Tuxedos, Inc. -- her family business serving the community for over 20 years. Her responsibilities included management, establishing finances and budgeting, retail marketing, event planning, logistic organization, fund development and retail merchandise buyer. In addition, Laticia had the privilege to open and operate three full service bridal salons in Petersburg, Newport News, and Hampton. Laticia co-founded the Queen’s Entrepreneur Academy Foundation, a non-profit organization established to empower youth to excel in business enhancing the development of leadership skills. Mentoring girls and young women, encouraging them to find their voices and take bold career risks excelling in a life of business ownership.
Laticia brings a dynamic style of business management and with unique fundraisering component to Girls Incorporated of the Greater Peninsula having the determination to service more girls between the ages of 6 to 18 with the mission to inspire all girls to be STRONG, SMART, and BOLD. Laticia is committed in bringing out the best in each girl as they discover their talents through through their participation in the Girls Inc. Choir, Pageant as well as the Girls Inc Cotillion that could possibly lead to scholarships to help further their education.
Laticia attended Bethel High School in Hampton, Virginia and Virginia State University in Petersburg, Virginia studying Business Management. She successfully served one year as a VISTA (Volunteer In Service To America) while collaborating partnerships with other various non-profit organizations and agencies by building relationships to further benefit Girls Inc. in the community.
Laticia currently resides in Newport News, Virginia and is happily married to Larry Stith, CEO and Head Coach of the Virginia Crusaders Adult Men Semi-Pro Football Team. A non-profit organization aiding, preparing and developing youth and young adults in athletics. She is the mother a one STRONG, SMART, and BOLD daughter, LaJoya who currently attend Girls Incorporated of the Greater Peninsula.
